DAYA HAMBAT PERASAN DAUN MUDA PETAI CINA (Leucaena glauca, Benth) TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN BAKTERI Stapyloccus aureus

Abstrak

Chinese petai (Leucaena glauca, Benth) is a shrub or small tree with a height of 2-10 m, has a hard tree trunk and is not large as well as round cylindrical rod and the end of the haired tight. The compound leaf decomposes in the stalk, pairs of double-perfect double-finite, small leaflets consisting of 5-20 pairs, the shape is lanceolate, pointed tip, flat edge, length 6-21 mm and 2-5 mm wide. Chinese petai leaves contain active substances alkaloids, saponins, flavonoids and tannins.
This research was conducted to prove the juice of chinese leaf (Leucaena glauca, Benth) can inhibit the growth of Stapylococcus aureus bacteria by dilution method which was conducted in Microbiology Laboratory of Health Analyst of Delima Husada Gresik on 4 to 16 March 2016. With concentration of 100% , 50%, 25%, 12.5%, 6.25%, 3.125%, 1.5625%, 0.078125%, 0.39%, 0.1953125%, 0.09765625%. So from that purpose we get the benefit of knowledge about the chinese leaf sprinkling (Leucaena glauca, Benth).
Based on the research that has been done, the results of Stapylococcus aureus tube concentration of 50% concentration until 6.25% concentration can kill germs, while concentration 3,125% until concentration 0,0975% can inhibit growth of germ. From this study proves that chinese leaf (Leucaena glauca, Benth) can inhibit the growth of Staphylococcus aureus bacteria can even kill.
