Abstrak

Indonesia is one of the tropical countries in the world and has optimaltemperature humidity that supports the survival of insects. Mosquitoes are one type ofinsect that can be detrimental to humans because its flavor is a vector of diseases.Several types of diseases caused by mosquitoes, such as filariasis which are transmittedthrough Culexsp mosquitoes, and dengue fever transmitted through Aedes sp. Thepurpose of this study was to use natural larvicides by utilizing the solution of mangoleaves to be an alternative in killing mosquito larvae. The type of research design isexperimental, the population used is Aedesaegypti and Culexsp larvae. The data obtainedare analyzed by ANOVA two way and Kruskalwallis. In the percentage of60%, the larvalmortality was 13.8%, 70% of the larvae were 16.8%, and 80% of the larvae were 20% ofthe Aedesaegypti larvae. In the percentage of 60%, the larval mortality was 15%, at 70%the larval mortality was 17.5%, at 80% the larval mortality was 20%, Culex sp. Larvae.The result of sig <0.05, which means that there is a difference in the solutionconcentration of mango leaves to the larvae of Aedesaegypti and Culex sp. In conclusion,the solution of mango leaves is able to kill Aedesaegypti and Culexsp larvae becausethere are flavonoid, tannin, saponin, as biolarvacide content.
