ANALISIS KADAR SIKLAMAT PADA ES PUTER YANG DIJUAL PEDAGANG DI KABUPATEN GRESIK

Abstract

The puter ice is a traditional ice which based the coconout milk, the puter ice also has texture denser than ice cream, the taste is more sweet and delicious. Traders of the puter ice beverage commonly use artificial sweetener among others types cyclamate that are relatively inexpensive with the aim to reduce the cost of production. The results of metabolism of cyclamate are sikloheksamin compounds that are carcinogenic. Therefore, the excretion through the urine can stimulate tumor growth. The purpose of this study to determine whether the puter ice sold by traders in the district of Gresik accord to  the provision of SNI PERMENKES RI 722/Menkes/Per/IX/1988, i.e. 3 g/Kg.
The type of this study is a descriptive study with analysis techniques of qualitative and quantitative with the Gravimetry method. The samples obtained from traders of the puter ice drinks in District of Gresik as many as 12 samples. The results of this study showed that 12 samples (100%) qualify regulation of Health Minister No. 722/Menkes/Per/IX/88 and suitable for consumption.
