Abstract

This study aimed to find out the extent of influence of the headmasters’ leadership styles and teachers’ educational level of qualification against teachers’ performance. The hypotheses in these study are : (1)  The influence of headmasters’ leadership styles on teachers’ performances, (2) There is an influence of teachers’ educational level of qualifications on teachers’ performances, (3) The influence of the headmasters’ leadership styles and simultaneous teachers’ educational level qualifications on teachers’ performances.

                     The population in this study were teachers’ and headmasters’ of SMP at sub-distric Banyuates distric Sampang in 2020.  Research respondents were 49 teachers’ and headmasters’. The research data was carried out by questionnaire method, with an instrument of 88 question items. While the data analysis was quantitative with descriptive statistical technique, correlation analysis and simple regression, and also, correlation analysis and multiple regression with application of SPSS 18.0.

                     The Results of this study were : (1) The influence of the headmasters’ leadership styles on teachers’ performances, (2) The impact of teachers’ educational level qualification on teachers’ performances, (3) The influence of the headmasters’ leadership styles and teachers’ educational level qualification on teachers’ performances, this case was shown by the value of the coefficient multiple correlation in the amount of 12.452 or coefficient determination in the amount of  41.5 %.
