IDENTIFIKASI TELUR NEMATODA USUS PADA SAYURAN KUBIS (Brassica oleracea) DI PASAR TRADISIONAL, SUPERMARKET, DAN WARUNG MAKAN GRESIK TAHUN 2018

Abstract

Infectious diseases related to soil transmitted helminths are still a health problem in Indonesia. Generally worms come from Ascaris lumbricoides, Trichuris trichiura, Necator americanus, Ancylostoma duodenale. This disease is closely related to socioeconomic conditions, personal hygiene and the environment. Raw vegetables can be one of the worm egg transmission agents. Eating raw vegetables can increase the incidence of parasitic infections. This study aims to identify whether there is contamination of soil transmitted helminth eggs in cabbage vegetables that are sold in traditional markets, supermarkets, and food stalls.This research is descriptive, conducted on July 23-25 2018. Samples were obtained from 9 vegetables per group. Examination of worm eggs is carried out microscopically at the Laboratory of Parasitology, Delima Husada Gresik Health Analyst Academy. From the results of the study found that soil transmitted helminth positive in traditional market samples 22% contaminated with Ascaris lumbricoides worm eggs and samples from food stalls 11% contaminated with Ascaris lumbricoides worm eggs. Vegetables contaminated by Ascaris lumbricoides eggs, while Trichuris trichiura, Necator americanus and Ancylostoma duodenale were not found.
