DAMPAK KEBIASAAN ANAK MAKAN PAGI TERHADAP KADAR HEMOGLOBIN DARAH
Abstract
Breakfast is the food eaten in the morning before activity, which consists of staple foods and side dish. Energy from breakfast to children recommended range of 20% - 25%, i.e. 200-300 calories. The benefits of habit have breakfast among others providing the iron ready to use to increase the haemoglobin levels in the blood. It have the positive impact on the concentration of the brain with body to be in line, so as to improve the learning achievement of children. If the children do not have breakfast so they will be less get an adequate nutrition, and will cause the body to deficiency of iron. This can cause the body is weak due to lack of supply of energy, so that the child will tend to be susceptible to the disease the one of it is anemic. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is a difference in haemoglobin levels in children in residential of Randuagung Gresik who have habit breakfast in the morning and do not have habit breakfast.This study is an descriptive experimentally with method of the quantitative analysis. The samples used were 20 samples of children with an age distance of 11-15 years who have habit breakfast in the morning and do not have habit breakfast in a residential of Randuagung Gresik. The examination of haemoglobin level using method of Cyanmethemoglobine. Based on the results of SPSS test using the independent sample t test be found a significant value of 0.005 which was smaller than 0.05, then Ho was rejected and H1 was accepted. So that it can be concluded that there are significant differences between the levels of hemoglobin in children who have habit breakfast and do not have habit breakfast.
