ANALISIS PENGARUH PEMBERIAN JUS PEPAYA DAN MADU TERHADAP PENURUNANKADAR KOLESTEROL DIDESA PENIDON KECAMATAN PLUMPANG KABUPATEN TUBAN

Abstract

Papaya fruit also has the effect of anthiperlipidemia through the activities of a wide range of
biological compounds contained therein such as niacin, antioxidant like vitaminC, vitamin E, vitamin A,pectin, and flavonoids. Antioxidants play a role combating free radicals and maintain the health of thecardiovascular system by improving blood lipids. The content of quercetin (2 mg/100 gr) in papayainhibits the oxidation of LDLcholesterol and prevent the formation of free radicals as well as being ableto increase HDL cholesterol levels. To know the influence of the giving of the papaya fruit juice againstkolestrerol levels decrease. This research is experimental research with the design of the test and post-pre-test. A sample of 20 female respondents with a before and after the awarding of the papaya juice for7 days. Data analyzed with normality test statistics "then proceed with a test of Paired T-test. The resultsshowed that the granting of papaya juice can lower cholesterol levels tnggi. Obtained a value of p-value0.000 where sig value. There is meaning 0.05 < influence decrease cholesterol levels high.
