OPTIMASI pH PADA PENENTUAN MAGNESIUM DALAM AIR ZAM-ZAM SECARA SPEKTROFOTOMETRI VISIBEL

Abstrak

Analysis of the levels of magnesium in the zam-zam water visible spectrophotometry is done based on the formation of complex compounds. Magnesium can form complexes at pH 10 and pH range higher 12 experienced magnesium deposition and therefore contributes to the formation of the complex stability and assay. The purpose of this study to determine the optimum pH determination of magnesium by spectrophotometry visible.Quantitative analysis of the levels of magnesium using a visible spectrophotometer with variations in pH is pH 9.8; 10.0; 10.2; 10.4; 10.6; 10.8; 11.0; 11.2; 11.4; 11.6; 11.8; 12.0 and its absorbance was measured at a wavelength of 530 nm which is the maximum. Having obtained the optimum pH measurement time stability magnesium magnesium compound formed before absorbance readings.Based on the results showed that the highest levels of magnesium obtained at pH 10.4 in the amount of 26.440 ppm. That is because at that pH has a maximum absorbance. It can be concluded that the optimum pH in the determination of magnesium visible spectrophotometry was 10.4 and the time stability of the complex is stable for about 50 minutes.
