Abstrak

The Dengue haemorrhagic fever (DHF) is an acute viral infectious disease caused by the dengue virus. The disease is transmitted distributed by many species of Aedes mosquitoes mainly Aedes aegypty. Generally affect children but in recent years this virus also attack adults. Dengue hemorrhagic fever patients will experience a sudden high fever for 2-7 days. Sometimes in this period experienced bleeding (bleeding from the nose), accompanied by vomiting, dysentery and headache. This study aims to determine whether there is a correlation levels of platelets and hemoglobin in the blood of patients with DHF in Laboratorium Hospital of Semen Gresik.
The type of the study was a descriptive study. The data taken in this study was secondary data, and taken at random sample as many 100 patient data which perform the laboratory assay of platelet count and hemoglobin count using a Sysmex XS-800i in Laboratorium Hospital of Semen Gresik. The correlation test by SPSS obtained results significance p (0.000) with R (0199) and N (100). Then p < value α : hypothesis (H0) wass rejected while (H1) was received, so the alternative hypothesis (H0) was rejected while Nil hypothesis (H1) was received, it can be concluded that there was a relationship (correlation) between the platelet levels with hemoglobin levels in patients suspected to diagnose disease Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever in the Hospital of Semen Gresik.
